Our Statement of Faith

The Scriptures  We believe Scripture to be the verbal, plenary, inspired Word of God. We hold the Bible, in its original writings, to be infallible as the complete and final authority for faith and life.

The Godhead  We believe in one eternal triune God, existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons are one in being and essence having the same attributes and perfections.

The Lord Jesus Christ  We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God, the exact image of the Father who without ceasing to be God was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and died on a cross for all mankind as the substitutionary atonement for sin. We believe that Christ bodily arose from the grave, was seen by many witnesses, and ascended to Heaven where He is presently seated at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

The Holy Spirit   We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells believers, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, sets them apart, illuminates to them the Word of God and guides them to holy living.

Man  We believe that the human race, created pure and innocent, fell through the sin of Adam to become totally depraved, corrupt in body soul and spirit, in need of redemption.

Salvation  We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Things to Come  We believe in the imminent, visible, bodily return of Christ to earth and the bodily resurrection of all men, the just to eternity in God’s presence and the unjust to everlasting punishment.
