The Lord (and my family) gave me the gift of sabbatical this summer.
I was able to spend some time resting at a retreat center, praying and preparing for this fall. Here were a couple of my favorite spots.
I’ve been reminded how important it is to take time to “slip away.”

Luke 6:16 speaking of Jesus: “But He Himself would often slip away to the wilderness to pray.”
